Who's blogging?

I'm Oliver Theil, Director of Public Relations for the San Francisco Symphony and I'll be your online guide as the SFS travels to Luxembourg and Lucerne. This is now my 10th tour with the Orchestra, and in that time, I've learned that an orchestra tours for many important reasons: cementing an international reputation, acting as cultural ambassadors for our city, winning over the music press, selling CD's etc. But while performing in the great concert halls of the world does all these vital things, touring still all comes back to one thing: it's about connecting with people through music, about performing these great works for people who want to go on that particular musical journey with us. This time, they just happen to live in Luxembourg and Lucerne instead of Noe Valley and North Beach.
